But overall, in terms of pure comfort: these are some of the comfiest everyday briefs I’ve worn in this price range. Not perfect, but very easy to wear all day without thinking about them.

These briefs are made from 95% modal and 5% elastane (spandex). If you’ve only worn cotton underwear before, modal feels different right away. It’s smoother, almost cool to the touch, and thinner. The flip side of this soft, light fabric is that it doesn’t feel bombproof. After several washes, the fabric is still in good shape, no holes or pilling yet, but you can tell it’s not the thick, tough stuff you might get in heavy cotton briefs. If you’re rough with your clothes or you always tumble dry on high heat, I can see these wearing out faster than classic cotton. I’ve been washing at 30–40°C and tumble drying low or air drying, and so far they’re holding up.

So material-wise: big win on comfort, small concern on long-term toughness. If you treat them decently, they should last a while, but I wouldn’t expect them to survive years of abuse. For the price and the comfort level, I’m okay with that trade-off. Just don’t expect rugged workwear – this is more about softness and stretch than durability in harsh conditions.

Durability is always the question with soft, thin fabrics like modal. They behave like a decent quality everyday brief, not like a cheap multipack that falls apart after three washes.

Realistically, I’d expect these to last a reasonable amount of time if you have a rotation of several pairs and you’re not hammering the same ones every day. But I wouldn’t buy them expecting long-term, multi-year durability like thick workwear underwear. Comfort over ruggedness is clearly the priority here. For the price and level of comfort, I’m okay with that. Just go in knowing they’re more "soft daily wear" than "indestructible".
